Description: Bright red, multi-purpose Sriracha hot sauce is made from red chili peppers, garlic, vinegar, salt, and sugar. This special Jalapeno variety matures to crimson red to develop red hot heat for homemade sriracha. Red jalapeno are hotter than green with a higher level of capsaicin, the heat range can hit 8000 Scoville units. Use a little or use a lot of this pepper to give hot sauce the earthy taste and heat level of this pepper you are looking for.
