Description: This is one of my favorite edible container herbs. The plant is highly ornamental even when it’s not blooming. Alaska’s bush growth habit makes it great for hanging baskets and borders. Mixed colors of red, yellow or orange flowers complement round, beautiful marbled foliage that make a statement wherever you put this plant. Peppery flavored leaves and flowers can be added to salads or used as garnishes. The pickled flower buds can be cured in vinegar and substituted for capers. Rabbits hate nasturtiums and keep away.
